You must have a license in order to have a pet clam. Otherwise the local Clam Catcher will impound your shellfish companion and put it in the Clam Pound. And it is a sad sight that jabs at your heart to walk through that facility and resist the mournful expressions of those abandoned clams who so much want a nice home.
So please, clam owners, license your clams and while you are at it make sure they get all their vaccinations.
