Our Own Arab Spring Brings Up a ?: Which One is Creepier, Anonymous Guy Fawkes Mask or Burger King King?

Hey I like the Anonymous/Occupy Movement, and I like Burger King food (so I'm eclectic and not a purist. Shoot me). But they both employ very creepy and very similar logos that I find disturbing and not inviting. Which one is worse?

By the way, the leader who manages to convince the Tea Baggers and the Anonymous that they share the same corporate enemy and can get them to work together will be the political genius who will change American history. It is in the interest of the Establishment (yes, I use that term freely and without any sense of feeling dated since it still applies more than ever) that we are divided, fractured, and against each other. The Left/Right, Humanist/Religious, Progressive/Regressive chasm really works for them. All those shouty media personalities have really helped The Man.

An Ecumenical Politician who rejects this Old World template and embraces the New Reality has his/her work cut out for them, but the condition is ripe for the picking and the reward would be great. We are having our own Arab Spring.

Vote Danger Room-- Not Just a Comic Book Shop

Casey on the job

The Danger Room resides in a century-old building in the historic area of 4th and Columbia.

In the "Best of Western Washington" KING TV poll Olympia's Danger Room can use the vote in the category of Best Comic Book Shop by anyone who supports the concept of self-publishing, obscuro, DIY comix. The Danger Room has always been remarkable in this regard, being willing to promote those of us who create comic art on the periphery. If you attend and contribute to the Olympia Comics Fest, the Danger Room is the major reason for that event. This store has changed the comic art scene in Oly for the better.

Vote here! Polls close Sunday, Oct. 9, at 6:59 pm.

The fabulous Hettie

Vote Danger Room!

Hey gang, it's time to rally behind our favorite comic shop, Olympia's Danger Room in the KING Evening Magazine's poll of the "Best of Western Washington."

Give them a vote at this link.

Frank and Casey support our kind of comix, not only through their shop but also in their involvement in the Olympia Comix Fest. Let's give them some support back. They are underdogs here, mostly due to demographics since Oly is much smaller than Seattle or Tacoma.

Deadline is October 9th, but vote now!
