James Abbott's mural portrait of a very young Nick Rillakis (1893-1970), McCleary, Washington. By the time I met Nick in 1964 he was a large, stout man with no hair at all. Nick was one of the last of what was once a large Greek population in town.
A bombastic and flamboyant fellow, he ran a store in town called Rhodes Grocery, the first concrete structure in McCleary. I recall he had a huge cheese wheel as a centerpiece. Today his store serves as cram-yer-crap place and is covered with Abbott artwork.
The waferboard "canvas" gives this and the other portraits a nice texture.

Dirt, October 1989
"Kill the Artists" translated and published in the October 1989 issue of a Greek zine that has a title apparently translated as "Dirt." Looks like it was published in Ptolemaida, Greece.
The English version was reprinted in Retreads 9.

Mopti
This is the Greek translation of Morty the Dog who Walks Like a Man, originally published in 1987 by Starhead Comix. This version was published later that same year. It measures 21 x 15 cm.
1st Danger Room Reprint edition, July 2005, 5 copies, blue cover, enlarged digest size.
Michael Dowers of Starhead Comix made an arrangement with a publisher in Greece. I have no idea who actually translated it, or even if it was actually printed in Greece or the USA. But I love the fact the sound effects remain in English.
