Morty Comix # 2694
Morty Comix # 2694 was placed in a convenient plastic container at a gas pump as I was filling Nadine's tank at $3.39 a gallon in the early morning hours here in McCleary.

Morty Comix # 2636
Morty Comix # 2636 was part of performing a public service. Once in awhile I'll bring my lunch and drive Nadine down to this always deserted little park at the end of a dead end street in Tumwater, Washington. Recently I noticed the top bar of part of the cyclone fence had been knocked out. So before setting it back, I rolled up a Morty Comix and placed it in there.
Yes, my method of comix distribution is not really financially profitable, but it is more original and fun.

Louis and Keely
Now here's a guy who can blend the Blues with joy. Sort of like when you're walking through New Orleans and smell that unique sweet blend of putridness and perfume and still have have feeling of well being. No other place has this odor. I would move there in a minute if circumstances allowed.
Anyway, Louis Prima was from New Orleans and carried the sound of that great city into his music. I found a clip on YouTube that helps me feel good no matter how sorry I feel for myself.
Here it is, check it out:

Nadine plays only sound cassette, and I have been enjoying Louie and Keely on old technology while driving.
Happy Monday everyone!

Morty Comix # 2591
Morty Comix # 2591 was tacked up on the public bulletin board of the McCleary Post Office.
It has been awhile since I have displayed anything on this medium. Apparently, some individual in town takes down anything I post and within 24 hours tears it up into little pieces, and throws it in one of the trash cans. So I have pissed off someone around here. Imagine that. The long line forms at the Right.
This comic was gone within 24 hours, but I didn't inspect the trash to see if it was torn up.
The McCleary Post Office remains home to four earlier Morty Comix, and one of them has been there for over a year!
In the last photo, Nadine awaits outside.

How to Clean Your Driveway the Cartoonist Way
It should go without saying this method was inspired by Rube Goldberg:
Here is how I clean my driveway. First, I wait until we get a lot of rain, more than usual. Then, when the middle of the carport develops a leak right over my car, Nadine, I know the the time has arrived for action.
A look at the carport roof reveals a body of water that could support some fairly good sized fish. Or a caiman.
But instead of calling the Board of Geographic Names to give this body of water an official designation, I reach in and pull the dead leaves away from the sole drainage outlet.
So as a result my driveway gets a big wash, cleansing it of those cherry, plum and hawthorn blossoms.
The end.

Gallons of water cascade out with such force that the poor old gutter pipes can't handle it

Morty Comix # 2545
Morty Comix # 2545 was part of a mini-drama. Nadine, my 2000 Buick Regal, picked up a machine bolt in one of her front tires. So I had to take a day off work, limp over to the neighboring and larger town of Elma on a toy spare tire, and have my real tire patched by a great regional tire chain-- in fact, the very best place to go for tires in Washington and Oregon.
While I was in the waiting room, I noticed a side table had a little drawer, just big enough to house a Morty Comix. It was like the piece was built for this purpose!

Nadine in the morning
Inside the car, are those dome lights?
Wait. No. The dome lights don't work.
Those must the glowing eyeballs of Mr. Death, who IS SITTING IN THE BACK SEAT ON THIS BLACK ICE MORNING!!!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGH!
As it turned out Mr. Death merely wanted a ride to Oly and we talked movies. We both like Westerns. I hate it when he just shows up like this, but apparently he doesn't have a phone. Sometimes I wish I had the nerve to suggest he could use a breath mint. It's not like he's my friend or anything, but would you refuse him a lift?

Morty Comix # 2479
Morty Comix # 2479 was left in one of the public bulletin boards in McCleary, Washington. The main grocery store (with a great staff!) has some James Abbott murals on the side. Nadine is the only vehicle in the parking lot. This building was constructed in the 1940s and some say it is haunted.
In the last photo on the far left you get a glimpse of the seamy underbelly back alley in our thriving metropolis.
