I'm Sure There Must Be a Story Here

... but I'll be damned if I can remember what that story would be:

Morty Comix # 2694

Morty Comix # 2694 was placed in a convenient plastic container at a gas pump as I was filling Nadine's tank at $3.39 a gallon in the early morning hours here in McCleary.

McCleary's helipad

Jerry Johnson, who is listed on the plaque as Chairman, along with his pal Windsor Olson, have a very unique place in the history of the McCleary Bear Festival in perpetuating a hoax that lasted several years and helped the town enormously!

Morty Comix # 2692

Morty Comix # 2692 was drawn on a foamboard scrap I had.

While in the waiting room of our local clinic for a friend, there was a brief window of time where I was the only person around. Being the art opportunist that I am, this Morty Comix was placed in the drawer of a little stand.

OK My Town Is Going Nuts Right Now

The Seahawks won and about half of the 1600 souls in my little town are honking horns, firing guns, lighting fireworks, yelling in the streets. The last time I saw this much public celebration around here was when Obama got Osama. It is really something to witness.

Well, good. Washington, my home, deserves to finally have some national win of any sort in the sports world. I am not a football fan, but I like the way this has generated a lift in morale for folks around here. Sort of like Christmas has been extended up here in our Far Left corner of the USA.

Morty Comix # 2689

Morty Comix # 2689 was slid behind a sign at the McCleary, Washington Post Office. There are currently no less than 4 Morty Comix hidden in this place at present. All of them are within the borders of the 2nd photo of the Post Office. Morty's P.O. Box is 2nd from the bottom on the righthand border of the 3rd photo of the Post Office.

Morty Comix # 2688 was folded in half and tucked behind a windowsill in the McCleary, Washington Post Office.

Morty Comix # 2687

Morty Comix # 2687 was left in a real estate brochure distribution box at a gas station/minimart in McCleary, Washington.

By a strange coincidence, it wasn't until I posted this that I saw the mention of Windermere Real Estate in Centralia, Washington. Their HQ is in the house where my great-great grandfather's ghost still lurks, where my grandparents were married, where my mother was born. So many stories connected with that place. These kind of things happen when you are a 5th generation Washingtonian.
