Favorite Movie Quotes: Ещё раз про любовь = Once Again for Love
"Attention please. Monitor[?] announces the arrival of Flight 398 from Budapest. Thank you."
OK, I realize this isn't much of a quote, but it is the only line in English in this Soviet unsubtitled film, and it is a garbled background international airport announcement line at that. If any of my Russian-speaking readers know this movie and can supply a good quote please feel free to contribute. I understand this film is considered a classic in Soviet cinema.

Favorite Movie Quotes: Executive Action
"Yeah, I got his rifle. It's a 6.5 millimeter Italian Carcano. It shoots
high and to the left, and the bolt sticks. Christ, the Italians quit
making these 25 years ago! They called it 'The rifle that never hurt
anyone-- on purpose'."

Favorite Movie Quotes: Ernest Goes to Jail
"So it's come to this. A pointless, miserable end to a shallow,
meaningless life. But it's as it should be. It's the hand I've been
dealt, and I have to play it as it lays. Oh, I'm not going to cry
because life's thrown me a curve. I'm not going to whine because I got
mashed potatoes when French fries is what I really wanted. It's time for
me to step up to the plate, belly up to the bar! It's time for me to
look fate square in the eye, flare my nostrils, breathe life's last
breath! It's time for me to lie down with lions so I can soar with the
eagles! All right! I'm ready! Come and get me! Let's do it!"
Favorite Movie Quotes: Ernest Scared Stupid
Favorite Movie Quotes: Ernest Goes to Camp
"You see these hands? Huh? Huh? You see them? If I put them in my pockets I will be arrested for concealing lethal weapons."
Rest in Peace, Jim Varney, 1949-2000

"Have you ever seen the Sun, Erik?"
(Those of us in Western Washington State can relate to that quote)

Favorite Movie Quotes: Edward II
"Base Fortune, now I see that in thy wheel there is a point to which when
men aspire, they tumble headlong down. That point I touched, and seeing
there was no place to mount up higher why should I grieve at my
declining fall?"
Favorite Movie Quotes: Ed Wood
"Look, look, look, when I said that you could have the western
territories, I didn't mean all eleven states! I meant California, Oregon,
and, uh, what's that one on top?
Washington!"

Favorite Movie Quotes: Easy Money
You know what? I'm not going to even try to come up with a quote for this great film. It never got any respect.
I saw it in a theater when it was released in 1983. I was in Pullman, Washington and only three of us were in the audience. And we three strangers laughed our asses off!
Film critic history has been unkind to this film, and unjustly so. Snobs.
Rodney Dangerfield was a great actor and comedian. If you want a quote from this movie you'll just have to give it some respect and view it.

Favorite Movie Quotes: Drowning Mona
Kathleen Wilhoite sings Oh Mona Dearly:
"Oh Mona Dearly
She took a turn for the worst
You know she swam with the fishes
You know she dug in the dirt
Why did she have to DIE, DIE, DIE?
Why did she have to DIE, DIE, DIE?
Why did she have to d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-DIE?
Oh Mona Dearly"

Favorite Movie Quotes: The Dresser
"Where's my hat? I'm getting out of here. I'm not staying in this place a moment longer! I'm surrounded by vipers. Betrayal on every side! I've been crushed! The life blood is draining from me! The load is too great! ... More, more, more-- I can't give any more, I have nothing more to give. I want a tranquil senility. I'm a grown man. I don't want to go on painting my face night after night, wearing clothes that are not my own. This is my work, my life's work. I'm an actor, but who cares if I go out there tonight or any other night and shorten my life?"
