Morty Comix # 2608

The fate of Morty Comix # 2607 is so obscure even I don't know where it landed! But it has to be somewhere in Butler, Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, let's stroll to downtown Butler, where I placed Morty Comix # 2608 in the back cover a sample book in a print shop-- the same print shop that has printed the work of Tom Rehm, Maximum Traffic, Buzz Buzzizyk, and even the mysterious Borpo Deets.

"Westport, Washington, Salmon Capital of the World. This view shows the sheltered harbor of this world famous fishing fleet. In the foreground are the berths for the commercial fishing fleet, which is out catching fish the day this photo was taken and at the top is the sports fishing fleet, and the white streaks is the wake from a few of the boats as they return with their limit of fish."

Morty Comix # 2605 was hidden in a piano bench in a home in Butler, Pennsylvania. But the residents are wise to me now and have already discovered this one.

Morty Comix  # 2378 was also hidden in a piano bench in Oly last year, and the deed was filmed by the Ron and Louise and used in the Bezango film promo.

Doesn't it seem strange that on a blog called Morty the Dog there are so many cat photos?

Morty Comix # 2603

Morty Comix # 2603 was placed behind a wonderful silkscreen poster created by Mike Q. Roth. The poster is hanging in a home in Butler, Pennsylvania. Roth is one of the co-creators of the work Building a Better Robot.

Morty Comix # 2602 was hidden inside a VHS cassette case for the movie Antz (which I remember taking my daughter Rose to see in a theater when it was first released) in a home in Butler, Pennsylvania.

KGY radio has been in the Olympia, Washington area since 1922. Their FM station is supposedly based right here in little McCleary, but we have no evidence of them being here and they don't seem to cover our local news with any investigative zeal. I wish they would.

But I do love seeing their weird building at low tide on Budd Inlet.

Postcard - Westport, Washington

"Westport, Washington, Salmon Capital of the World. In this aerial we can see the sheltered harbor which protects both the commercial and the sportsmens' boats. This thriving ocean port is the base for the finest Salmon fishing in the world. In the background are ocean liners waiting for high tide so that they may enter the Pacific Ocean."

1970s. Probably taken around the time of one of Grays Harbor County's more interesting alleged UFO stories, Elk River Mudflats, near Westport, Nov. 25, 1979.
