Morty Comix # 2583 was slipped into a menu of one of my favorite restaurants in Grays Harbor County-- the Bee Hive in Montesano.

Morty Comix # 2582

Morty Comix # 2582 was tucked into the door of a building that appears to have served in its long life as a gas station, auto repair shop, and food bank in Pacific Beach, Washington.

Favorite Movie Quotes: You Were Never Lovelier

"I wish you wouldn't speak while I'm interrupting."

Hettie agrees that cartoonists might be interested in the scene where bandleader Xavier Cugat, who was apparently an accomplished caricaturist, actually draws a face onscreen as part of the story. His other works adorn the walls in the same scene.

Morty Comix # 2581

Morty Comix # 2581 was shoved into the metal roof supports of a shed that holds retail bundled firewood for sale outside the biggest grocery store in Ocean Shores, Washington. Apparently burning driftwood can be carcinogenic, hence this (hopefully) non-saltwater soaked firewood for sale. Yet imported firewood can bring invasive species that can result in whole forest stands in state parks being clearcut.

In the words of my wise friend Jean-Marie, "We are doomed, DOOMED, I tell you!" And a shaking  of fist is required while declaring this.

Favorite Movie Quotes: Witness

"This gun of the hand is for the taking of human life. We believe it is wrong to take a life. That is only for God. Many times wars have come and people have said to us, 'You must fight, you must kill, it is the only way to preserve the good.' But Samuel, there's never only one way. Remember that. Would you kill another man?"

The unfortunate placement of letters makes it look like this vehicle is full of vanpoo. No thanks.

Morty Comix # 2580 was tacked up on a community bulletin board in the back room of a nice restaurant in Portland, Oregon. The food was great and they were playing Lou Rawls.
