The George W. Bush Song

George W. Bush is a moron
He helped Dick Cheney's friends get richer yet
If you were poor he just piled more on
And took away the social safety net.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

He was in way over his head.
And Americans wound up dead
Looking for weapons of mass destruction
that didn't exist.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

He stole the Gore election
The stocks went tank-o-rama
And after seven years
He never caught Osama.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

And although I am not trying
To sound any meaner
He did a heck of job
With Hurricane Katrina.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

George W. Bush wrecked our country
I hope he's happy painting dogs and cats
And if his brother Jeb wins the White House
Ladies and gentlemen, hang on to your hats!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Morty Comix # 2639 was drawn on a cinderblock in a basement of a cabin in Butler County, Pennsylvania. This drawing joined others on the wall including work by Mike Hill, Edward Bolman, Spaz, Maximum Traffic, Delaine Derry Green, and the mysterious Borpo Deets.

It is rather difficult to see from the ground, but in this James Abbott mural on the back of the old Rhodes Grocery, he portrayed one of the many "soiled doves" that held a prominent place in the history of this Wild West company town.

The Chester Alan Arthur Song

O Chester Arthur
O Chest Chest Arthur
O Chester Arthur
O Chest Chest Chest Arthur
O Chester, Ah-Lawn, Arthurrrrrrrrr

He learned that Roscoe was a louse
He sold the furniture in the White House
He was a dandy, his duds weren't old and worn
And it is quite possible he wasn't native born.

And when he walked into a room
Everybody said,
"Who?'

O Chester Arthur
O Chest Chest Arthur
O Chester Arthur
O Chest Chest Chest Arthur
O Chester, Ah-Lawn, Arthurrrrrrrrr

A Town Filled With Characters From Morty Comix

In the last 3 decades I have drawn 2,666 Morty Comix. Usually they average 4 portraits per issue. That means just in this series I have created 10,664 faces.

So

I wondered if all these characters came to life and formed a city, what local place would be close in size? The answer: Sedro-Woolley, Washington.

When I think of Sedro-Woolley, I think of William Morley Bouck, the radical Grange man who lived there. And this is a good thing.

Here was my intro to Bouck in OlyBlog:

When William Morley Bouck ran for Washington State Governor in his final bid for public office [1936], the most colorful part of the old Granger's career was behind him. Carlos A. Schwantes called him, "A complex man who publicly delighted in goading the rich and powerful and clearly hoped to lead American farmers into a brave new world." Farmer, family man, teacher, renegade Grange Master, a radical arrested on conspiracy charges, Congressional and Vice-Presidential candidate, Bouck has attracted the attention of many historians and writers, including Nirvana's Krist Novoselic.

So right now Sedro-Woolley gets to be the honorary Morty Comix town, even though I have never sent or hidden one up there ... yet.

The Piece of Wood Who Wanted to Belong

So there was this lonely piece of wood named Billy. Somehow he was taken away from his main tree and he wandered the woods looking for other pieces of wood to hang out with, but never had any luck. No other piece of wood would have anything to do with him, apparently thinking his bark was as bad as his bite. He felt bad.

Then one day, next to a camping area, he saw a whole stack of wood. Nice pieces stacked up in a neat and orderly way. Wow! They looked so happy and as one. Billy was in awe.

As he headed their way to join them, an older and wiser piece of wood yelled out in warning, "No! Billy, stop! Don't be a fuel!"

Favorite Movie Quotes: Singin' in the Rain

"Make 'em laugh
Make 'em laugh
Don't you know everyone wants to laugh?
(Ha ha!)
My dad said 'Be an actor, my son
But be a comical one
They'll be standing in lines
For those old honky tonk monkeyshines'"

"Now you could study Shakespeare and be quite elite
And you can charm the critics and have nothin' to eat
Just slip on a banana peel
The world's at your feet
Make 'em laugh
Make 'em laugh
Make 'em laugh!"

Morty Comix # 2637

Morty Comix # 2637 was left near the beautiful lighthouse at Westport, Washington

But before you arrive at this structure, you are greeted with an elegant sign.
It states very plainly, "Dump Station."

Notice the signpost has holes in it

And one of them behind the sign itself is just right for a Morty Comix home.

The End.

The Magic Crow

A friend of mine had a pet crow. He claimed this bird possessed special powers. So I asked him to demonstrate.

This crow was very tame. It just sat on the table there in the kitchen, calmly regarding the world. It didn't make any noise. No caws for alarm.

My friend went to the freezer and brought a frozen macaroni package. He placed it on a plate and sat it next to the crow. The bird lifted a wing, fluttered it a bit up and down over the macaroni for a minute or so, and before my eyes the food was cooked!

"How did he DO that!?" I gasped.

My friend smugly said, "My crow waves."
